Q: What is Virginia Beach SR22 car insurance for non owner drivers?

A: Occasionally, someone will be required to file a Virginia Beach SR22 form, but if they don’t have a car, then they can’t very well get car insurance. However, some of these people do still need their driver’s license to drive themselves places, and so will need to file some kind of Sr22 in order to get their driver’s license back. There is a special kind of Virginia Beach SR22 for this, which is called non owner drivers insurance.

Virginia Beach SR22 car insurance for non owners is different in many ways from other kinds of car insurance. For one, if you have a non owner policy, then you will only be able to get liability insurance instead of full coverage. If you want to have more coverage, then you will have to rely on the owner of whatever car you are driving to have purchased that coverage.

Because it does not go along with a car, Virginia Beach SR22 car insurance for non owners costs more. Saving money on it requires extra effort, since fewer discounts will apply.

I have a tricky situation also:

I was convicted for DUI 1st offense on 12/16/2005. I filed one sr22 and then had to sell my car and haven’t driven since–no car, no insurance. So, my questions are when is my sr22 expiration date and if it is not 12/16/2008 will I need to file the new fr44 for an additional 3 yrs.? should I have been filing even though I was not an auto owner? confusing!!!!

    Thanks
